Frockery EcoFashion Challenge 2016: winners announced

frockery eco-fashion challenge 2016

Sincere apologies for the delay in announcing our Frockery Eco Fashion Challenge winners due to a  combination of crises, including internet connection issues,  two days in court for the chief frocker (fotunately not as the accused!) and several days of London lurgy. Thank you all for your patience!

We had some stunning entries again this year as an amazing array of vintage, hand made and preloved oufits were showcased on our virtual catwalk, along with accompanying stories of creative customisations and bargain buys. There is a tremendous sense of camaraderie among our FrockeryFacebook group members, which always makes the challenge such an enjoyable and fun event.

It was another unenviable task and difficult decision for our esteemed judges - Janice Stewart of Tweed'll Dee, Kirstin Frocker and the absolutely fabulous Patsy A (whose internet connection is very vintage, practically dial-up, darling!) - as there was once again such an outstandingly stylish display of eco-fashion in all its glorious diversity throughout the month.

But finally, here are this year's three worthy winners, who will each receive £50 of frockery of their choice from our catalogue, with an additional £25 for the 'story behind the style'. The images give just a glimpse of the range of eco-frockery that was 'rocked around the clock' during February.

Gail Adams - vintage treasure huntress extraordinaire!

"So I am out treasure hunting and it is so cold. Out of the wardrobe comes old faithful, 10 years old and originally from M&S. The beret was a freebie from an elderly relatives house clearance."

"A lovely cashmere jacket bought from a charity shop in Brechin for £6.50. A perfect match for my tartan full circle skirt."

Story behind the style - Gail's lampshade!

frockery challenge story winner

"The ultimate in eco fashion. What do you do when you rip your favourite vintage pleated skirt on the car door? Cover a boring lampshade, add matching corsage and a few roadkill feathers and we are good to go."

Congratulations to our winners (please contact us to claim your prizes, ladies!) and a huge thank you to everyone who entered into the spirit of the #frockerychallenge 2016.  Hope to see you all again next year!
